Why Gideon Moi skipped BBI report launch at Bomas

Baringo senator Gideon Moi was not at the Bomas of Kenya to witness the official unveiling the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report on Wednesday, November 27.

Gideon was however represented by KANU Secretary General Nick Salat who used the opportunity to pass his apologies.

According to Salat, Moi had been called by the family to attend to urgent family matters in Nairobi.

"Gideon would have loved to be here but while on his way to the venue, he was recalled by his family to attend to other important family issues that arose," Salat said.

Sources close to the Senator said he went to the hospital where his father Kenya's longest-serving President Daniel Moi is admitted.

Moi 95, has been admitted for the past three weeks and is undergoing treatment occasioned by old age.
