Uganda revises coronavirus cases from 264 to 145

Uganda has revised downwards it's tally of positive COVID-19 cases from 264 to 145 after deducting the number of all foreign truck drivers who tested positive for the virus.

The number released on Wednesday includes the 10 new cases with the Ministry of Health Saying, President Yoweri Museveni advised the revision.


" Today 20 May 2020, 10 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, 9 new cases are truck drivers while 1 is a close contact. Following a Presidential directive of deducting all foreign truck drivers from Ugandan's total confirmed cases, COVID-19 cases now stand at 145," Uganda Health Minister tweeted.


So far Uganda hasn't recorded  any fatalities related to the novel coronavirus and plans to ease the nationwide lockdown measures from June 2.
