COVID-19 cases in Kenya soar to 6,366 after 176 more test positive

Kenya has confirmed 176 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total to 6,366.
The latest cases are from 2,419 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

Addressing the press, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr Rashid Aman said all the new cases are Kenyans; 100 are male 76 are female all aged between 3 years old and 78 years.

The cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi (99) Mombasa (20) Kiambu(17) Migori (13) Uasin Gishu(10) Kajiado(4) Busia (4) Kilifi(3) Machakos(2) Nakuru(1) Kakamega (1) and Kisumu(1).

At the same time, four more patients succumbed to the disease raising the number of fatalities to 148.

26 more patients were also discharged at the same period bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 2,039.
